Little Otter Productions is a film & digital media company and woman-owned business founded by Sony Alpha Grant-winning creative Gabrielle Mariella. A sought-after partner in the theater and entertainment community, Little Otter crafts bold, story-driven content that amplifies music, theatre, and historically underrepresented voices. As an NYU Tisch School of the Arts-trained actor and singer herself, Gabrielle brings both an artistic and technical perspective to her projects, making her an ideal collaborator for those looking to make meaningful content. In October of 2021, Gabrielle won a SONY Alpha Female+ Grant, with which she filmed, directed, produced, and edited ENOUGH, a documentary short about female Broadway creatives and gender equity in theater, featuring Sammi Cannold, Valerie Lau-Kee, Twi McCallum and TONY AWARD® winners Jessica Paz and Macy Schmidt.

Her work as a Director of Photography, producer, and editor spans branded films music videos, documentary, interviews, narrative shorts, and social content. In addition to film, Little Otter is a full creative studio—offering brand, graphic, and web design with the same artistry and precision we bring to production. What is often divided among multiple agencies, we deliver seamlessly in-house, uniting every creative discipline under one roof for cohesive, efficient, and impactful results.

About Gabrielle.

Gabrielle Mariella is an actress, singer, filmmaker, and creative producer based in NYC. She is a graduate of NYU Tisch where she received her BFA in Drama from the New Studio on Broadway for Musical Theatre.

A classically trained singer who sings across all musical genres including pop, jazz, and musical theater, Gabrielle has performed all over NYC as well as regionally. She has also performed in several pre-Broadway and Off-Broadway development projects of new musical theatre (Almost Famous, The Visitor, and more...) Gabrielle is dedicated to making people laugh and has gained recognition for her vocal impressions on social media, with her viral videos garnering more than 25 Million views and 150K+ followers. (IG,TikTok). She is also a successful voice actor, lending her voice to various commercial projects (Walmart, TD Bank, Trident Gum and more.)

When she’s not performing, on set, or behind her editing desk, Gabrielle can be found on the hunt for the best Caesar salad, coding websites, or geeking out on sci-fi films typically involving time travel (don’t ask.) She is a second generation American who lives to make her ancestors proud.

As an artist, Gabrielle believes the stories we tell on stage and screen matter and have the power to create positive change.
